Weevils Drones designs and builds UAVs at the IIT Kharagpur Science & Technology Park. The lineup spans fixed-wing platforms, VTOL hybrids, and multirotor systems, including FPV, tethered, and fibre-optic configurations. Workshop testing and simulation run alongside IIT KGP faculty in Robotics and Aeronautics, and every airframe is engineered, flown, and supported under one roof.

Founded in 2024 out of the IIT Kharagpur STEP program. Started in the workshop, still flies out of it. The team has grown around a single rule: ship platforms that survive contact with the operator.

Principles that anchor the work.
Airframes, autopilot integration, and flight tuning happen in-house. No black-box subassemblies in the critical path.
Every revision goes back through flight test before it ships. We'd rather find the failure on our own range than the operator's.
Operators get the people who built the airframe on the other end of the call. Training, mission planning, and field support are part of the deliverable, not an upsell.
